Since January 2017, star chef Denis Feix has been responsible for the young cuisine in the Zirbelstube. The chef from Sauerland has numerous other awards in addition to his Michelin star, including 17 Gault & Millau points and 4 spoons from the Aral Schlemmer Atlas.
With fresh ideas and a pleasantly unconventional style, Denis Feix gave the Zirbelstube a new signature and reaffirmed its reputation as Stuttgart's top culinary address. His creations often make do with exactly three main components, which are brought to the fore through amazing preparation methods and combinations. An interesting interplay of acidity, sweetness and spiciness as well as different textures and consistencies make the dishes unforgettable taste experiences full of complexity and surprising moments.
Kathrin Feix has worked in many excellent restaurants.
For the last 10 years she was restaurant manager and Sommelière in the restaurant "Il Giardino", Bad Griesbach, 2 stars Guide Michelin. Before that, Ms. Feix worked as a sommelier assistant for 4 years in the restaurant "Résidence", in Essen, before that 2 years at Schloss Berg, in Perl Nennig and La Table in Dortmund. Kathrin Feix gained her first experience in well-known restaurants. In 2016, Ms. Feix was named Head Waitress of the Year by Gault Millau. The Schlemmer Atlas has been listing her among the "Top 50 Sommelièrs" since 2012.
