The Althoff Hygiene Program

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees is our highest priority. Over the past few weeks, a team of experts has worked intensively to develop the "BE WELL" protection program for Althoff Hotels.

In order to comply with all official requirements and ensure everyone’s safety, the team has had to make some changes to our existing services. Specifically, this will affect some of the offers in the restaurant, bar and spa areas.

At all times we seek to minimize any disruption to our guests but ask for your understanding during these unique and unprecedent times.

To ensure the upmost protection to all guests and staff of the Althoff Villa Belrose, the following measures have been put in place:

Public areas

  • All employees in contact with guests are obliged to wear masks
  • Masks for guests will be available on request
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in all public areas (lobby, restaurants, bar, etc..)
  • Hand sanitizer will also be available in all public toilets
  • There will be distance markings (at least 1.5 meters) in selected areas of the hotel which are often subject to increased number of guests
  • The public areas (door handles, elevator buttons, reception counter, bannisters, etc...) will be disinfected every hour
  • Public areas will be regularly ventilated
  • Lifts will be limited to two guests at any one time (except guests traveling together)
  • Information will be posted in key locations throughout the hotel to draw guest’s attention to the rules of protection and behavior
  • The usage of the fitness and spa areas will be limited

Reservation, reception, check-in & check-out

  • Only one signature will be required on arrival if all guest data has already been submitted upon booking the room
  • Cashless payments are recommended where possible
  • Disinfection of room keys and cards

Restaurant and bar area

  • Minimum distance between tables
  • Guests are allowed to sit together if respecting the protection rules
  • Opening times may vary
  • There may be longer intervals during meals
  • Disinfection of the tables, counters, bill folders, salt & pepper dispensers, etc. after each use
  • Food and beverage menus can be viewed online via the guest’s own mobile device

Room cleaning

  • A room seal will be attached to the entrance door, as well a minibar seal on the minibar door, thus confirming that no one has had access since it has been cleaned
  • Additional surface disinfection of the guest rooms is available on the guest’s request
  • Regular disinfection of door handles, light switches, bannisters, etc…
  • All non-necessary equipment such as magazines, writing utensils, decorative pillows or plaids have been removed from the rooms until further notice
  • Cleaning agents with Dr. Schnell certificate

Current rebooking and cancellation rules

To offer you the best possible flexibility during these uncertain times, all guests who have made reservations directly with us from June 1st to June 30th and those arrival does not exceed the 30th June have the possibility to cancel their booking free of charge.
