Welcome to your exclusive spot on Lake Tegernsee: THE BEACH @Fährhütte14 combines a luxurious beach atmosphere with a relaxed, carefree vibe – a place where the sun shines a little longer, everyday life fades into the background, and every moment tastes of summer.

From 14 May to 31 August 2026, THE BEACH opens its doors for unforgettable days by the lake.

Your Stay

Look forward to an exclusive, beautifully designed beach area with comfortable sun loungers, elegant parasols and relaxing seating – all right on the shores of Lake Tegernsee.

As a guest at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt, you can enjoy this retreat free of charge and with priority access to the sun loungers.

Please note: Reservations are not possible; allocation is on a daily basis and subject to current availability on site.

Culinary offerings

During beach hours (11:00 am – 6:00 pm), the Fährhütte14 restaurant is closed – instead, a fine, carefully selected range of refreshing drinks and light snacks awaits you right by the water.

To ensure a completely relaxed atmosphere, we ask that you enjoy your food in the designated lounge or beer bench area – the sun loungers are reserved for relaxation.

Bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted (except for baby food for children under 2 years of age).

Hotel guests enjoy free access and priority seating.
External guests may use The Beach subject to availability (EUR 40,00 per sun lounger).

It is not possible to reserve sun loungers.

Children

Children up to 12 years old accompany you free of charge, without entitlement to their own sunbed.

Water toys

Water toys are warmly welcomed and invite fun in and around the water.

Sun Umbrellas, UV Tents, & Co

All sunbeds are equipped with sun umbrellas. Bringing your own sun umbrellas or UV tents is not permitted.

Pets

Bringing pets is not allowed.

Please note that there is no direct car park at Fährhütte14 as it is located in a nature reserve. The nearest car park is located here.

Please note that THE BEACH is open subject to weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, unfavourable forecasts, flooding or similar conditions, the beach area will remain closed.

On days when exclusive events are taking place, opening hours may be adjusted or the beach may be closed entirely.
