From Bensberg Castle, you first ride your e-bikes through the Königsforst to the Rhine. Along the Rhine towards Bonn there are numerous opportunities to stop off and enjoy the beautiful view of the Rhine valley. Zündorf at the harbour is a particularly good place to take a break along the Rhine. From there, the route continues through Niederkassel and Rheidt to Mondorf. In Mondorf you take the Mondorf-Graurheindorf ferry across to the other side of the Rhine. Now it is only a few kilometres to the Ameron Königshof in Bonn. Here you can enjoy an Italian lunch on the terrace of the "Ristorante Oliveto", weather permitting.
RETURN Route: 53.3km | Time: 2:35h
The return journey takes you through Sankt Augustin and Hennef to the Wahnbachtalsperre. Above the Wahnbachtalsperre you have a picturesque view over the reservoir. From here the route takes you overland to Rösrath. If you wish, you can take a short break here in the beautiful courtyard café of the Krewelshof adventure farm or head straight home to Bensberg Castle.
