The Tegernsee Valley is something very special. Not only because of one of the cleanest lakes in Bavaria. Not only because lush green meadows unite here optically perfectly with the white-blue sky. And not only because traditional costumes and traditions are cultivated here like hardly anywhere else. Here people like to celebrate, laugh and live together - honestly, heartily, gradaus.
"Überfahrt" - a great name that stands for more than 135 years of hospitality and high hotel culture. In 1873 Josef Höß opened the "Gasthof zur Überfahrt" on the shores of Lake Tegernsee. The ferrymen once gave the " Überfahrt" (which means "crossing the lake") its name, which still has great significance today. Day after day, an old Bavarian rower still sails to the hotel's mooring and brings guests to the shore of the Egerner Bucht. Even then, the guest list of the "Gasthof zur Überfahrt" was already prominent: Ludwig Thoma, Leo Slezak, Prince Rainier of Monaco and many more spent relaxing days here.

Discover our homemade bread, dairy products and cheese sourced from the farms in the area, sausage varieties directly from the butcher, fresh fruit and vegetables and a juice bar with freshly squeezed smoothies every day. Of course, freshly prepared egg dishes and, for the sweet-toothed, our pancakes and waffles are not to be missed.
We offer breakfast for early risers and late risers, from 7-11 am.
Check-In time is 3:00 pm.

Children up to and including 5 years stay free of charge in the parents' room
Age 6 up to and including 11 years: EUR 55.00 (extra bed in the room of the parents)

Dogs are allowed in the hotel and will be charged with EUR 40,00 / day. Dogs are not allowed at our restaurants. We are pleased to organize a dogsitter for you.
We would be happy to put you in touch with our cooperation partner Lakedogs Tegernsee. Through Lakedogs we can arrange dog sitting with trained dog trainers.
The hotel has rooms that are interconnecting. Please let us know in advance if you require them.

Extra beds are subject to availability and will be charged as follows: between 6 and 11 years EUR 55,00 per night will be charged and from 12 years onwards EUR 85,00 per night.
All public areas of the hotel including the restaurants and the 4 elements spa are barrier-free. The hotel also has 2 barrier-free rooms in which the toilet, washbasin and shower seat are height-adjustable and equipped with a wheelchair-accessible shower. In addition, the rooms are equipped with extra wide corridors and doorways so that a wheelchair can easily pass through. Please be sure to mention this when making your reservation.
If you have an allergy or intolerance, please indicate this when making your reservation. We are happy to cater for allergies and intolerances in the evening in the restaurants, as well as at breakfast, without compromising your culinary enjoyment.
